This focused instruction is designed to equip the student with the knowledge necessary to earn a High School Equivalency Diploma and enter employment and/or postsecondary education. Adult Education also offers Integrated English Literacy/Civics classes for those individuals who need to learn to speak, read, and write the English language.

Knox County Schools Adult Education located at the Knoxville Center Mall closed on June 30, 2016. Students wishing to enroll in classes should call the Tennessee College of Applied Technology, Knoxville Campus, at 844-323-7323.

The Knox Technical Center is applying for reaffirmation of accreditation with the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.
